Best Steak Joints

List Author: vegasvic
Description: You just doubled your bankroll. You can't face another buffet. It's time for a slab of red meat. Where do you go?
  • N9ne Steakhouse - The Palms - Yeah, there are a lot of wannabe ‘playaz’ in here, but the food is actually top notch. Scenery ain’t bad either.
  • Delmonico's - Venetian - Emeril may be annoying to watch on TV, but he serves a pretty mean steak.
  • Charlie Palmer's - Four Seasons - Am I in Vegas?
  • AJ Steakhouse - Hard Rock - Good food, decent wine list, great service.
  • Hank's - Green Valley Ranch - This is a top shelf, white tablecloth, impress-your-date kinda joint. Huge martinis, enormous steaks, excellent wine list. The waiters know their shit, and they treat you great.

Oh yeah… You missed a couple good ones:

SW Steakhouse (Wynn) – might top Delmonico. This place truly rules.

Circus Steakhouse (Circus Circus) – no one believes me but it is true. This is a great restaurant and it is really inexpensive.

Country Club Bar and Grille (Wynn) – in the back of the property, a true American steakhouse.

Hunter, did the Country Club’s restaurant change its name?

    Not that I know of.

Circus Circus is pretty good, especially for an old-skool joint on the downside (whenever I eat there it’s a beeline in and out)

IMHO Prime at Bellagio is over-rated, over-priced, and over-hyped.

I gotta check out those places at Wynn.

Had a not so good meal at SW with really poor service a couple weeks ago. They’ve let success spoil the joint already.

BOA is the best steakhouse on the strip. It’s the only place in town that can prepare a rare steak properly, namely trying to crawl off the plate.

I’m sorry to hear about the bad experience at SW. It was one of the best meals I’ve had, and is at the top of my list. My only complaint is that the wine list is stupidly expensive.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle on Paradise is another standout, although it’s off-strip. Yes, it’s part of a chain, but service and quality are top-notch.

I agree with vegasvic on Prime: it’s not as good as they think it is. I actually prefer Elements, across the street at the Aladdin.

Delmonico is always a great choice.
