I think that most of the Station-owned casinos (including the Fiestas) around town have 10x odds and relatively low minimums, which makes those places my favorite to play craps.

Looks like I need to update the software to make sure people don’t create empty lists. :-(

100x odds at Casino Royale. Can’t beat that with a stick. Yeah, it’s a cruddy casino, but those odds are awesome, and I’ll sacrifice marble and fancy decorations for THOSE odds.

Here is my top five picks:

    1. Wynn Las Vegas: it’s all about the service. The crews are staffed with veterans from Bellagio, Mirage, etc. Stip-standard odds, but the surroundings are nice, and the drinks are easy to get.

    2. Mirage: once again, service is the defining attribute. Knowledgeable dealers and a comfortable playing environment. If you have a good attitude and toke reasonably, I’ve found it easier to score a higher rating and freebies here than other MGM Mirage properties.

    3. Casino Royale: this is the perfect place to take your newbie friends who want to learn the game, have fun, and get some mileage out of their bankroll . Rowdy atmosphere adds to the fun.

    4. California: This is the definitive Hawaiian hotel, and Hawaiians love to shoot dice. It can be an older crowd at times, but some of these codgers can shoot the lights out. Drinks flow freely.

    5. Bellagio/Caesars (tie): this is a tough one. A year ago, I would have given Caesars the edge for it’s old school feel and great crews. However, since Harrahs came on the scene, I’ve noticed many of the good veteran dealers have left (many for Wynn), and the ones that remain are a bit surly. It’s still worth a visit, though. Bellagio has great lighting and comfortable surroundings, and the dealers are competent and professional. My grip with the Bellagio is it’s just not that much fun compared with some of my previous choices. Perhaps a big win (elusive, thus far) would change my perspective on what otherwise is a great property.
