Best Low-Roller Casinos

List Author: Ringo
Description: Going to Vegas on a budget? Spent most of your vacation fund on a suite at Bellagio? Lost 90% of your bankroll in the slots at the airport? Or maybe you just enjoy gambling with the unwashed masses. Here's a list of places for the poor or frugal gambler.
  • Casino Royale - Super-low limits, prime location, and the best craps rules in Vegas (100X odds) make this place a must-visit for any low roller. Like everywhere else in Vegas, blackjack rules have tightened up. But at five bucks a hand, it doesn’t seem to sting as bad here. For the complete low-roller experience, try to get a Denny’s comp from the pit boss.
  • Slots-O-Fun - If Circus Circus is too classy for you, this is the place for you. Dollar craps practically on the sidewalk…you might be able to play for hours with just the change in your pockets.
  • El Cortez - My favorite joint downtown, they still have a three dollar blackjack minimum. Which is good news for for the guy next to me who just bought in for $7(!). Definitely the most interesting crowd I’ve ever played with and likely ever will play with since I’m too afraid to venture down to the Western. I like to gawk at the splendor of Ceasars and Bellagio as much as the next guy, but I’ll miss places like the ElCo when they’re all gone.
  • Imperial Palace - A few years ago they still had three dollar minimums, but they’ve since upped it to five. But it’s the only place I’ve ever played blackjack at $10-$15 a hand and attracted the attention of the pit boss. Sure, I didn’t get much, but most places wouldn’t even give me the time of day at that level. If that’s not catering to low-rollers, I don’t know what is.

Terribles Casino! I love it there! Just for signing up for a players card you get either a Terribles hat or a Terribles shirt. Me and my friends all signed up because we love the cartoony Terribles guy and wanted a good souvineer! If you eat at any of thier resturants be sure to present your players card at the register when paying.. you get points added to your card for eating at their resturants! Also when you sign up for their players card they give you a nice coupon book with fabulous offers: match play coupons, free tank of gas, off a car wash, back if you loose a certain amount, % off on their restruants… and many more unique coupons. We love it there! Definately a great place for a low roller!

The lowest roller: Gold Spike. Not quite as scary as the Western, but close. If you want to scare your kids straight on the dangers of gambling, bring ‘em here.

    The New Frontier:

You can tell it’s a low-roller joint by the fact that a bunch of machines are coin and bill, NOT TITO. Penny and nickel slots abound, $5 craps at 5x odds. Single deck is a ripoff at 6:5 for blackjacks. And it does have Old Casino Funky Smell.
