Best Harrah's Property

Description: Harrah's owns what feels like half the Strip. Here's my list of their top Vegas properties in order.
  • Caesars Palace - The original Las Vegas megaresort, Caesars for years was the luxury standard in Vegas. Despite being eclipsed by The Mirage, Bellagio, The Venetian, Wynn Las Vegas and others, The Empire hasn’t been standing still. They’ve added towers, a new huge entertainment venue with Celine Dion and some great restaurants. Let’s watch Harrah’s ruin in!
  • Paris Las Vegas - Though the theme can be a little intense sometimes, there’s a lot to like about this property. Nice and comfortable rooms, decent restaurants and a great location combine to make this an interesting spot.
  • Bally's - Formerly the MGM Grand, Bally’s was at one time a grand Vegas spectacle. Today it’s a somewhat strange looking blue-ish building across the street from Bellagio with pretty good room rates – and there’s nothing wrong with that. The casino floor is pretty nice and the rooms have been re-done recently.
  • Rio - Right off the Strip, The Rio is arguably the first acquisition that Harrah’s ruined. It’s still pretty nice and for those who want something slightly less hectic than the Strip, it works well.
  • Harrah's Las Vegas - The ‘flagship’ of the conglomerate is a little long in the tooth but has some really nice casino staff that will keep you coming back. The craps crew especially are good guys. The rooms are nothing to write home about but are clean and comfortable.
  • Flamingo Las Vegas - A legendary Vegas icon, it’s fallen into dis-repair. Located in a great spot, Harrah’s needs to inject some funds into the complex if they intend to keep the property setup in the same footprint that it exists in now.
  • Imperial Palace - The most recent acquisition, it was most likely built to make way for a mega-complex of some kind that will replace all or parts of the IP, Harrah’s, The Flamingo and maybe even Bally’s. Sheesh!
